I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Hartman Patterns, and I'm super excited to share her patterns with you. They are all fun unqiue patterns, and always make me happy when I look at them.

August is a unique sampler quilt featureing a modern take on the folk art motifs. Everything is pieced using convential patchwork techniques. No templates or paper piecing!

The graphic shapes in this quilt will be most succesful when made with solid or almost solid fabrics. The 16 colorful fat quarters should include four groups of four fabrics each, with each group including a range of values, from lightest (Fabric 1) to darkest (Fabric 4). The group of four neutral fat quarters should similarly include a range of values.

Quilt is 83" x 83" when completed

Fabric Requirements:
Coloful Solids - 16 Fat Quarters
Neutral Solids - 4 Fat Quarters
Light Block Background - 4.75 Yards

Dark Block Detail - 3/8 yard

Sashing and Borders - 1.75 yards

Binding - .75 yards

Backing - about 7.75 yards of 44" Fabric or about 3.5 yards of 108" fabric depending upon your desire to piece or overage requirments for longarming.
