I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Hartman Patterns, and I'm super excited to share her patterns with you. They are all fun unqiue patterns, and always make me happy when I look at them.
Use precut 2.5" fabric strips and conventional patchwork piecing techniques to make these maigical unicorn blocks for two quilt sizes and a floor pillow!
Pillow: 26"x26"
Pillow Fabric Requirements:
Colorful Fabrics for Mane, Horn, and Nostrils: 6 strips of fabric 2.5"xWOF
Block Backgrounds: 3/4 yard
White Fabric for Unicorns: 1/4 yard
Dark Solid Fabric for Eyes:1 piece 1.5" x 1.5"
Binding: 1/4 yard
Muslin for Lining: 2 yards
Backing Fabric: 7/8 yard of 44" fabric
Small Quilt: 62"x62"
Small Quilt Fabric Requirements:
Colorful Fabrics for Mane, Horn, and Nostrils: 24 strips of fabric 2.5"xWOF
Block Backgrounds: 4 pieces of fabric 3/4 yard each
White Fabric for Unicorns: 3/4 yard
Dark Solid Fabric for Eyes: 1/8 yard or 4 pieces of 1.5" x 1.5"
Border and Sashing: 1.25 yards
Binding: 5/8 yard
Backing Fabric: 4 yards of 44" Fabric depending upon your desire to piece or overage requirments for longarming.
